When I started my first business as a Nutrition and Wellness coach I built my business to full capacity in 9 months. Wahoo! Life was good; I hired my first virtual assistant and was credit card debt-free.

I was basically making the same salary as I had as a New York City teacher (which equals to not very much). On top of that, 3 months later, summer hit and my client numbers dropped, and I didn’t know what to do.

My credit card balances starting creeping up. I felt desperate. Panicked. What was I doing wrong? I was caught between a rock and a hard place. I wasn’t willing to go back to teaching in the school system, so I made a commitment to learn everything there was to learn about self-marketing and wealth building. I took every course I could, read every book I could get my hands on; I searched the Internet and went to see every speaker I could on the topic.

And I also upped my spiritual practice.

Because I was terrified.

Trust me; I faced some major things about myself, and my relationship with money and the way I ran my business. More than once, I doubted myself and felt for sure I was falling. And that there wasn't going to be anyone there to catch me.

The problem was, everything I had learned told me how to attract clients, craft my marketing message, manage my time, and improve my selling, but nothing told me how to do it in a way that had my head and heart in harmony. I felt like it was either “change who you are or go out of business and, oh yeah, forget about having a life at the same time ‘cause that just isn’t possible. You’ve got sweat equity to pay.”

Yuck. I was miserable.

So, being a natural problem solver who believes in “K.I.S.S. or Keep It Simple, Sweetie” (it was my key to success as a high school drama teacher and still is), I made it my task to take everything I learned and put it into a system that worked for business, my wealth, my spirituality, my wellness and my life. I wanted to create a process for myself that I could replicate over and over again, so instead of feeling like I was riding a roller coaster, I could consistently feel calm and confident and as a result my business would be profitable.

I wanted each step to be supportable, structured, and adaptable when necessary and I wanted it to work FOR ME, EVERY TIME! I’m happy to say, I did it! Yippee!

I developed a system based on my philosophy of partnering an inner and outer approach to business. Through this special coaching technique, which joins the energetical and practical, I re-filled my business, felt SO much better and was on my way.

Today, I now share everything I’ve learned and developed with other practitioners and entrepreneurs. Mostly, because they asked me to. There are two major factors that get in the way of entrepreneurs succeeding: fear and doubt. Before joining the EnergyRICH® Business Boot Camp every time I read about a featured Excelling EnergyRICH® Entrepreneur in your newsletter, I dreamed of seeing myself in your newsletter, too! It used to be fueled with doubt. But look what happened when I joined the Boot Camp and cleared that away! Since joining the Boot Camp I’ve gone from feeling a bit concerned about how to build my business while maintaining balance for my life and my family to feeling energized. I have had such a response that I had to offer a repeat session for those who couldn't make the second session I offered, and still more who are interested, but couldn't make that one, either. The room has literally been packed full with potential clients! So, I must be writing my sales copy in an effective, EnergyRICH® way, too.

At the end of the class, I offer another gift - a free session, which I call a Happiness "Upgrade" Special. I briefly talk about my mission: “to assist you in the pursuit of your greatest happiness.” I have had great response to it. One woman said, "I'm happy, but I like your idea of being even happier!" and she scheduled the free session with me and wants to talk about coaching. Mind you, I essentially had no clients and no prospects at the start of boot camp. From the 3 meditation sessions I had over just this last month, I now have one definite coaching client, and at least 5 solid prospects in process.
